Feeling sorry for myself
« on: December 16, 2010, 08:06:13 pm »
Was out in the field earlier and climbed overtop of stock fence when i caught my foot on the way down in some wire on the other fence, put foot down and to put weight on it was very painfull,as you do i thought keep walking it will be fine but deep down i knew id done something bad, kept hobbling very slowly to feed animals, got my dad to come over to take me to A&E its broken :( worst bit is that i have to go back in the morning to have a cast put on as all the plasters had gone home.

Meant to say they wanted to cut my boot off but no way was i letting them cut it off!

Oh heck, I spent March to September in a in a leg cast so I know how you feel. Cheer up. It's because you need to slow down a bit I expect. If you are tenacious you will find ways to get your jobs done around it. Hope you are not in pain. :notwell:

Horrid but as little blue says, you can at least put your feet up and let everyone fuss over you, chockies, wine and good films!!!

Yes, Sandy's got a point.  Look upon it as an excuse for a much needed rest.  Given the forecast, thats not a bad thing right now.  Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Did that myself a few years ago, but it was my collar bone that got busted.  Trying to do everything with your arm in a sling is hard, but with a plastered up leg is so much worse.  Look after yourself.  Hope you have someone to help, I didn't, just have to carry on somehow

You poor thing.  Should have done that in the summer, what an excuse to lounge and read a book on a hot sunny day.  Not so good in this weather.

Its a easy thing to do, so just take the time to be good to yourself and let others do the work for you,  :)

I broke both feet at easter (don't ask) and found out that my husband is a terrible wheelchair driver!
