Old Tackle
« on: December 09, 2011, 07:10:57 pm »
I though people might be interested in old agricultural equipment, most of which is still in use. This is a machine for chopping up straw, maize stalks and the like. Its about 100 years old, made in Germany but with an English patent, Clayton and Shuttleworth, from the days when we still made things. I'll add things as they occur and sorry I'm in a lot of the pictures but mostly with my shirt on.

Oooh, yes, I will be very interested in these pics - BH too.

Shirt off just makes us jealous - not something we have the weather for in our part of north Cumbria.  Brrr, slosh.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
