Title: Pickled Walnuts
Post by: Penninehillbilly on March 19, 2017, 02:26:36 pm
Sorry, not a recipe but wondering what these should be like?
OH brought some from a supermarket yesterday (reduced, he couldn't resist) But they were dark and very soft, imagine an extremely overripe plum (Rotting? ), without the stone, disintegrate when squeezed. Is this right or gone bad?  (Bottled, date was good)

Have a small bite of one. If it tastes vile throw them out, it should taste vinegary and a bit "earthy".

Did try one, spit it out, before asking on here.
Threw them out, get poorly enough without risking gungy things.
