My 3 year old cat has taken to lickin! coal in the last few months, he even goes as far as climbing right into the bucket to get some! He seems fine and healthy enough apart from having worms which he is getting stuff to treat them.
So would be greatful if somebody could tell me if this is normal or not
thanks ;D

I had a thing for coal when I was pregnant. Got my neighbour to give me some so I could crunch it.
Still has an odd attraction for me .... ??? ::) ;D

If you have read my pig story which I posted some time ago I stated that pigs like to eat coal I don't know why but there it is as Harry Worth used to say :D :farmer:

One of my cockers has a penchant for crunching down coal - we say its because we wants to keep his coat nice and black!!

My old dog licks & nibbles at a couple of very small areas of earth in the garden! she's generally 'losing the plot' a bit, dementia? & put it down to that, but now the other younger one is doing it too!! No help to you I'm afraid but would love to know what the attraction is ???
