Title: Urgent appeal to horsey peeps around Notts from RBST
Post by: Rosemary on March 28, 2013, 03:15:44 pm
Urgent appeal.  I have been contacted by a gentleman who, owing to illness and loss of grazing land, urgently needs to rehome some rare Hackney horses located near Retford in Nottinghamshire.  If the stallion goes to a rescue centre he will be castrated, and although a good home is the most important thing, if anyone might be able to use this stallion in the future for breeding this critically rare breed please do contact Paul direct.  There are also some "traditional" type Welsh Section A ponies needing new homes.  In addition, if anyone knows of Conservation Grazing or other land available for either horses or for a small herd of Dexter cattle, contact Paul Wyatt asap on 07713174816(https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/s480x480/483242_465327906868921_1742786761_n.jpg) (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=465327906868921&set=o.151508721576385&type=1&ref=nf)

Can't help personally but have re-posted over on Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park's FB page as they are very interested in other rare breeds plus interested parties might be looking in on there.

What a shame. Ducal Earl of Lincoln is sire to one of my ponies. She has a wonderful temperament, fabulous movement and is a cracking jumper. I hope someone can find a home for him :o(

I hope he finds a suitable home, it would be such a shame to lose a bloodline, they are beautiful horses and worth saving imo.
