We moved Breeze, Blizzard and Henry into a fresh field on Friday. This was the first time we'd moved Henry anywhere.

What a laugh - the girls went on their halters and Henry followed - at a gallop. There was straw lying in the gateway of the field he was leaving and he "couldn't" get over it - except with a huge jump. That made him tear excitedly round the next paddock. Then he lost sight of Breeze and Blizzard, which set him off bawling, so Bliz and I had to go back and pick him up.

Then, his confidence growing, he was off like a train, up the path, round the corner and out into the new paddock. Breeze galloped after him (Dan just let her go); Blizzard was perfectly behaved and walked nicely to the field (TBH if I'd had Breeze, she'd have behaved just as well as Bliz wink).

After a charge round the field (hope the calves enjoyed the bumpy ride), they all settled down to graze but it took the sheep in the adjoining paddock half an hour to get over the shock - they were in a line, peering through the fence at these mad animals.

He's for eating. Possibly next autumn, or summer 2013.
