White washing

Dan thinks I'm dead weird about this but I get a real buzz seeing my washing line full of white washing (coloured stuff isn't AS good), blowing in the breeze, knowing that it's going to come in soft and fresh (and not needing ironed!).

This was a white washing day, dry and breezy, so I'm well content! Simple pleasures, eh!

I totally understand how you feel about the washing on the line thing!
Whenever I hang anything out on the line I have to stand back and admire it!
Got some Feltham First early peas today, hopefully between May and August I will have a nice supply of lovely sweet peas!
Keep up the good work, youre an inspiration!

Ahh..nothing beats billowing, white washing on a sunny, breezy day! So satisfying and actually quite soothing to stand and admire!!! As you can see I am as weird as you!

Hi Rosemary;
I sure know what you mean about the whites on the line!! Especially the SHEETS!! And, OH do they not SMELL SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!! Our summers are on the average around 89-92 degrees. Do you have a long line for your clothes line or one of the circle ones? The long lines really catch the wind nicely, don't they? It was 58 degrees here today. Not the normal! We NEED more snow!! Have a great day!

I have proper washing lines not a whirley, so the sheets and towels get a real god blow. Glad I'm not the only washing weirdo! Did I explain that I also like to put it on the line in a "proper" order...

Rosemary;
Is something wrong with that? I usually put all the sheets in line, then the towels, wash clothes, pants, jeans, blouses, shirts and THEN last but not LEAST; the undies!!
Are you a very organized woman in general? That is what I have always been accused of. But, you know that is not so bad. At least I can find things! Keep up the good work Rosemary. Makes me smile all the way across the ocean!

Had to smile when I read your comment about the white washing. Many years ago when my boys were still in nappies(white terries) we lived in Germany(RAF) and our nextdoor neighbour was a lovely Thai lady recently moved from Thailand. It was alovely winter morning and my nappies where out on the line. she said "why you not hang washing in cellar to dry" I tried to explain how a good frost on my nappies would make them softer.but all i could get out of her was "My hband say white on ground snow!"Not a really hard frost.
