I am sixteen, going on seventeen
Now, get that song out of your head! No, not me (unfortunately) but Copper Cat who will be 17 on Saturday. She's pretty good value - enjoys her evening computing and grooming sessions - Dan keeps her brush on his desk. She's pretty fat and not so good at doing her own grooming now, but she's really perky and very, very vocal and purry.
Although she's a big cat (and I don't just mean fat). she has wee, tiny paws and she walks very quickly, with very small steps, like a lady in high heels. For some reason, she reminds me of Hyacinth Bucket or Margaret Thatcher. Dan, unfortunately, can't see it.
So, tuna for the birthday girl on Saturday - and her special guests!

Returned to your site after a few months and now got up to date with your diary. I am always amazed how you find the time to run a smallholding and still keep the diary up to date.
I try to keep a weekly log but some weeks that is very brief.
Keep up the inspirational work.

Posted by: David at March 31, 2006 7:25 PMThanks for the kind comments. Actually, if you look, there are long spells of inactivity here, too. I tried to keep a daily diary, recording the weather and stuff. But writing "rain", "rain", "rain" got a bit tedious. And anyway, most of the fun is in sharing what we do.

Lovely description of Copper Cat. I had a ginger cat who was really tiny, but had enormous paws! As a kitten we always expected him to grow and grow to fit his paws, but he didn't. He was always so clumsy, but also vocal and very affectionate.
