Keeping Sheep
We are newcomers to sheep keeping but we will share our experiences, such as they are. Starting our little flock of sheep is a big step for us - firstly because they are our first breeding mammals and secondly because there seems to be an awful lot that can go wrong with sheep - someone once told me that sheep are born with an inbuilt instinct to find the quickest way to die!

We have one book on sheep - I've skimmed through it but mostly we'll be relying on common sense and advice from the breeder of our sheep, who lives locally. Actually, I did work on a farm with 600 ewes for four Easter and summer holidays while I was at University, so it's not all new but then, I just did as I was told rather than making the decisions.
